Confined Tint Technology

Through the development of Confined Tint Technology, NXT semi-finished lenses offer the same outstanding properties of mass tinted lenses in fixed tint, photochromic, polarized and polarized photochromic formats. The dyes and photochromic molecules are incorporated in the Trivex substrate but are confined within 0.9 mm of the front surface of the lens. The color is uniform after surfacing, is not dependent on prescription of thickness profile, and is formulated permanently into the lens and will not fade or discolor over time.

Brown

Polarized Varia® Photochromic
Grey
Tv faded=36%
Tv dark=10%		 General purpose lens, fashionable and protective. Provides color definition and glare protection in any light condition. When activated, it turns from medium to dark grey.
Brown
Tv faded=25%
Tv dark=10%		 Ideal protection for bright sun and clear sky. Optimum for driving and active sports. Excellent color definition, contrast and protection from glare. When activated, it turns from medium to dark brown.

Tv dark=12%		 High contrast lens. Ideal for cycling, golf and outdoor sports. Reduces glare and increases visual comfort. When activated, it turns from medium copper to dark grey.
Day-Night
Tv faded=77% Tv dark=18%		 Ideal for riding bikes and motorcyles. Meets standards for night driving and traffic light recognition. Enhances road contrast. When activated, it turns from light amber to dark grey.
